Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges!

Yeah yeah, I know. This is a misquote from "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre." Sue me. ;-)

Well, we were thinkin' (always a scary prospect) and wondered if we DID need some stinkin' badges. I mean, you go through all the trouble of checking your designs and there should be a way for you to show your clients and users that you did all that work.

Here is a sample one to show you how it works:

Cross Browser Tested Website Badge : CrossBrowserTesting.com

Pretty nifty I think.

So what I did was to first, take a series of screenshots. Then, on the results page, there are a bunch of cool things at the bottom that let you do API stuff, download all the results in a zip file, create a slide show, share your results with a public link, and now display a web badge.

The public link is also fairly new. If you haven’t looked at that, it is a way for you to share links to your tests without the person you send the link to having to log in. It also has a security hash in the URL so you don't have to worry about anyone seeing any of your other work.

Back to the web badge. Click the Display a web badge link and you'll be taken to a screen that lets you select the look of your badge and it will generate the HTML for you to include in your page. Pretty simple.

If you don't want to link to a results page, just go here:

http://crossbrowsertesting.com/web-badge

and pick up a link to the badge of your choosing.

Please try it out and let us know what you think. We love to get your feedback. Please keep it coming.
