Growing pains, they hurt so good...
On Saturday the 20th, we took the site down for about 10 hours (in case you didn't notice). What did you get for that? Not a lot that you can see now really, but you will soon. We disconnected and moved every piece of equipment to new racks. Why you ask? (I'm waiting for you to ask...)
I'm glad you asked. We needed to add some new equipment in and we wanted room to grow. We decided to combine those two things and only take the site down once. One thing you can see now is the addition of the 10.6 Mac OS. That was a direct result of the work done that weekend. What you will see soon is improved performance as we integrate some of the new equipment into production. We appreciate your patience with us having to take the site down for as long as we did, but we think that you will be pleased with the improvements that are coming because of it.
I'm no photographer, but I took some pictures after we got done with the move. Here are just a few:
The first one is colorful. Ken decided to color code all of the Cat5 connections so that we could tell at a glance what a cable is for. Pretty smart huh? The next two are only sexy if you are into the hardware. There's quite a lot of power in those Dell servers and the new Mac sliding racks are pretty spiffy.

Not too shabby if I do say so myself. Be on the lookout for more announcements as we start taking advantage of the new capacity.
Cheers,
Mike
