Yes. The remote configurations will only have access to files local to them, so you will first need to place the files on the configuration. To do this, we recommend you create a web page on a web server you control with links to these files. You can then access this page from a browser on the remote configuration, and right click on the file to save it locally. You may want to save it on the desktop for convenience. Once you have it on the remote system, you can test your site's file upload capability by browsing and selecting this file.
