How can I cut and paste a URL into a remote browser?

The vnc server we utilize (the one built into VMWare) does not support cut and paste. We have added a 'Send Text' area in the console which will allow you to send a url to a remote browser. To use it, you have to follow these steps:
1) Put your cursor in the field you want to paste text into on the remote system. This is typically the url line at the top of the remote browser.
2) Paste your url in the send text area.
3) Click the 'send' button.

The text will be typed at the location of the cursor on the remote system.
