How do I use Chicken of the VNC on my OS X Mac with CrossBrowserTesting?
Note: This is legacy information. We now recommend using the builtin screen sharing app on Mac OSX.
First, download Chicken of the VNC - Go to http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/networking_security/chickenofthevn... to download it.
When you start a CrossBrowserTesting configuration, you will not have long to log in, so have Chicken of the VNC launched before selecting a configuration. When the configuration becomes available, you will be presented with your connection information. This consists of 2 parts: a vnc host address and a password. Enter the VNC Host information in the Host field and enter the password in the password field. Press connect. You should now be connected. You can still use the CrossBrowserTesting console to take snapshots, end your session, and view information about the time remaining on your current credit.
Other connection notes:
You must copy the connection information (it will look like this crossbrowsertesting.com:6020) into the host field. Once you do that the display number will grey out and then copy in the password.
