Not getting complete screen during live testing
I am on a Mac (OS 10.6.6) running Firefox (3.6.17) when use your wonderful service.
I just went to check some pages on Vista/IE8 and WinXP/IE7 but was not able to view the whole screen during a live test. The top part of the browser was "under" the visible part of the screen so I couldn't maneuver or enter a URL. I took a screen grab if you need me to send one (I'll need a means to do so.)
I also was having an odd "ghost cursor" meaning there was my regular black cursor and then a white cursor about an inch above and 20° to the left which was the one that was actually able to execute a function.
I wasn't really able to execute my tests, although I was charged minutes. :-(
Is there something I'm doing that's wrong? Have others experienced this?
Many thanks,
Tasha

Hi Tasha,
Tony and I have sent you answers separately via email. This is not an artifact we have seen before. If it was a pc, I would think it is a video driver issue. Macs, however, do not normally have that type of issue in my experience.
I would definitely try switching from the java based vnc client to the desktop vnc client - I would not expect you to see this artifact in it. On the mac, it is very easy to use the desktop vnc client - it is built to work with the builtin OSX Screen Sharing app. Here are some instructions:
1) Launch crossbrowsertesting.com and log in.
2) Go to the 'Test Center' and click on the 'Run live test' button.
3) Click on the Live Test Settings link at the top of the page.
4) Check on the 'Use desktop vnc' checkbox, then click close.
5) Click on the 'Run live test' button. Pick a configuration, and launch it. When your selected configuration is ready, press the button to launch the screen sharing app.
There is one hiccup with using this... it can have a blank screen. There is, however, a permanent fix to this issue. You tell the screen sharing app to run as a 32 bit application - see http://crossbrowsertesting.com/faq/i-am-getting-blank-screen-white-or-bl... for detailed instructions on how to do this.
Thanks
Ken
