Layout Comparisons for Screenshots - Beta!
Today we are pleased to release an addition to our automated screenshots system which offers the ability to compare and detect layout differences between browsers. This tool not only visually indicates where layout differences occur against a screenshot image but gives you the ability to see your web page renderings side-by-side, enabling you to find discrepancies more effectively.
You can access this page via the "Compare Layouts" button on your screenshot results. Enjoy!

Compare Layouts API
Great feature, for sure!
Will the Automated Screenshot API expanded with "Compare Layouts" feature?
It would be very nice to get the results automatically!
Thanks
Yes, it will. We are working
Yes, it will. We are working on version 3 of the api. It will greatly enhance access to the live test system, as well as exposing the screenshot comparison to the api. Should be out mid summer.
Thanks
Ken
Great feature!
What can I say ... I am already getting on everyone's nerves with my constant praise of crossbrowsertesting.com :-) But this one is really a great and helpful improvement, and I also like the accurate (should we call it engineer-like) implementation with not only visual comparison but also DOM hints. Good work!
Regards,
Ulrich
Thanks!
Hi Ulrich,
Thank you for the kind words! We think it is a powerful tool, but we are biased. =) I am glad that you are finding the tool useful. Also, thank you for spreading the word about crossbrowsertesting.com. We really appreciate that!
Kind Regards,
Mike
