Cross Browser Testing on mobile devices (Android, iPad, iPhone 3 and iPhone 4) now available!
If you've talked to us in the last few weeks, you know we've had our heads down trying to get mobile platforms ready for your cross browser testing needs. We are happy to announce that you are now able to live test your web pages against Android 2.2 (with Android Browser and Opera Mini), the iPad and iPhone (with mobile Safari)! Not to toot our own horns, but we think this is a pretty nice addition and really rounds out the cross browser testing service we offer. Best of all, it won't cost you anything extra, they are included in your current subscription. We really appreciate your support, we wouldn't be able to keep adding these new features without your help.
Please take the new configurations for a spin and let us know what you think. One thing you will notice (and something we will most likely get asked about a lot) is that the iPhone 4 screen is quite a bit bigger than the iPhone 3 screen. This is due to the iPhone 4's higher resolution.
Currently, the mobile platform is currently limited to live testing only. You can, however, take snapshots and video of your live testing sessions. With this major release behind us, we will start focusing on adding screenshot capabilities for these mobile platforms. We hope to have these ready soon, so keep watching the site for news.
We hope you are excited as we are about the new additions. We've had a lot of inquiries about adding support for the mobile platforms and we are happy that we were able to add it to our service.
